Battle ropes
Battle ropes are heavy training ropes used with a secure anchor. You hold the two free ends and move them to create waves, alternating movements or controlled slams.
Setting up the ropes
The rope length, thickness and your distance from the anchor affect how the movement feels. Leave enough slack for the rope to move and keep the area around its full path clear. Use an anchor intended for this load; a loose object is not a suitable substitute.
You can use the same ropes while standing, kneeling or combining the movement with squats. Keep each movement controlled and check the rope, handles and anchor before each session. These ropes are not skipping ropes or cable-machine attachments.
